Theft from Motor Vehicle

There have been no reports of theft from motor vehicle.

Unfortunately this week we have had an increase in the amount of burglaries in our area, however there have been no reports of Burglary Others and no reports of Theft from motor vehicle.

Looking at the burglaries that have occurred it is clear that one of the burglaries could have been prevented if the occupants had made their premises secure. PLEASE ENSURE THAT YOUR DOORS AND WINDOWS ARE LOCKED.

We have recently had reports of youths gathering at the Cricket Club in Bramhope. The teenagers are arriving in cars and using the Cricket Field as a meeting point, however once the teenagers arrive at the ground they are playing loud music and sounding their horns inappropriately. This kind of behaviour is not acceptable and therefore appropriate action will be taken to stop this from happening. If you witness behaviour like this please contact 0845 6060606 which is the non emergency number.

Fortunately we have seen a much better month for crime comparing it to
April. Hopefully it will remain this way for the foreseeable future.

As we have started to experience the warmer weather, I am sure many of you
enjoy sitting out in your gardens. Please remember to keep your side/front
doors locked at all times. The same applies if you have gates into your
rear garden. The summer months can see a rise in sneak in burglaries, due
to people leaving their doors open whilst they are outside enjoying the
sunshine. These sneak in burglars can be in and out within minutes and will
take whatever is at easy reach- normally keys, handbags, mobile phones, so
                            please be careful!!

North West Leeds Neighbourhood Policing Teams are holding an open day ay
Headingley Stadium on Sunday 11th July from 11- 3 pm. Different departments
of West Yorkshire Police will be available to speak to and there will be
numerous displays. The day is a good day out if you have any children as
there will be activities including a bouncy castle and face painters etc.
We are also going to have a display for Neighbourhood Watch to try and
promote the scheme and get more people involved. The stall will be manned
by Police Community Support Officers and we are then opening the invitation
up to any coordinators or members that would like to assist. It would
involve speaking to prospective members and your presence would be highly
appreciated. If anybody would like any further information or to take part,
                          then please e-mail me.
