Other social organisations in Bramhope and District
Beaver Scouts are 6-8 years old, the colony welcomes boys and girls.
Cub Scouts are 8-10.5 years and again welcomes boys and girls.
Since the restart of the Beaver Colony in November 2006, Beavers have proved very popular and are now running at full capacity with an active waiting list. The Cub Scouts do have spaces available and would welcome new members.
Beavers is run by Nicola Parkinson and Cubs is run by Gail Wright and Paul Parkinson. Both Beavers and Cubs have an active program and involve parents as helpers at the sessions.
Beavers is run on Thursdays at 1830 – 1930hrs, in the Scout Hut off Leeds Road.
Cubs is run on Tuesday nights from 1840 – 2000hrs, again in the Scout Hut.
Both Beavers and Cubs make use of the fabulous facilities at the Scout Camp, just off Occupation Lane in Bramhope during the summer months.
There is great demand for Beavers and Cub Scouts in Bramhope. We would be delighted to hear from anybody who would be willing to help out with these groups on a regular basis or consider setting up a Scout Group.

The Amici Singers
Whether you are an experienced singer, have never sung since schooldays or have always wanted to sing in a choir but have never had the courage to try, anyone interested is warmly invited to come and join the Amici Singers. (No auditions!)
We are a community-based choir, drawing our 60+ membership from Otley, Bramhope, Adel, Horsforth, Cookridge, Headingley and further afield. Some have come to singing for the first time in retirement, others are former members of choral societies; some read music, others do not. We sing all types of music – sacred, folk, modern, fun pieces.
We meet on Thursday evenings in Adel Methodist Church Hall (behind the Lawnswood Arms, off Otley Road) from 7.30 pm to 9.30 pm. Our new term begins on Sept.18th, fees are £50 a year, music is provided. For further information, do contact the Musical Director: Brenda D.Hawer. Tel. 01132671292 . bdh.bramhope@btinternet.com
